Instituto Superior Técnico – IST

The Instituto Superior Técnico is today the largest Portuguese school in the fields of Architecture, Engineering, Science, and Technology. It has more than 10 thousand students, from 60 different nationalities, and 880 teachers. It is organized on three campuses and it is an international and highly recognized institution inside and outside Portugal.

The Instituto Superior Técnico is part of the University of Lisbon, contributing to solidify its position as the Portuguese university with the best international classifications, such as the Shanghai Ranking, QS, and Times Higher Education.

Técnico is an institution that promotes the relationship between the university, business, and society. It also encourages innovation, entrepreneurship, job creation, and knowledge. Carnegie Mellon University

Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) is a private university in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, that is home to seven colleges and over 10,000 undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate students. CMU’s faculty is award winning and renowned for working closely with students to solve major scientific, technological and societal challenges puts a strong emphasis on creating things – from art to robots. The University has become a model for economic development in forming partnerships with companies such as Uber, Google and Disney with students being recruited by some of the world’s most innovative companies.

Carnegie Mellon has four additional campuses and degree programs in ten countries, including the CMU Portugal Program.

The CMU Portugal Program was fostered in Portugal through the agreement for international cooperation in science, technology and higher education between Fundação para Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT).

NOVA Information Management School (NOVA IMS)

NOVA Information Management School (NOVA IMS) is the School of Statistics and Information Management of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa. It was founded in 1989 in response to many graduates who specialized in Information Management and the growing need for the use of new information technologies.

Today NOVA IMS provides education at the highest level to more than 1700 students including undergraduates, post-graduates, masters and PhD degree students.

NOVA IMS’s strategy for the medium term is to develop and expand its current academic and scientific projects whilst at the same time maintaining its values and strategic guidelines. The group of strategic components referred to as medium term objectives is wide and combines excellence in teaching, learning and research. It also includes a strengthening of partnerships with the community and the business world, improving the quality of students at entry level into our courses, creating a work environment which is motivating for all our employees, with a policy of continuous improvement management of NOVA IMS.

3Drivers is an environmental consultancy firm with over 17 years of experience. As a consultancy company, its goal is to support their clients in improving the sustainability of their businesses, placing the focus on the assessment and improvement of the environmental performance of their products and services. It is the company’s strong belief that this can be achieved by using the most scientifically sound techniques, such as life cycle assessment or input-output analysis, and by continuously investing on eco-innovation.

The core business activity revolves around the waste management, but spans from the operational activities of waste managers, both public and private operators, to the macro policy level.
